Selcuklu, which is the most crowded district of Konya in terms of population, took its name from the Anatolian Selcuklu State, where Konya was the capital. There are many Anatolian Selcuklu artifacts in the district. Sille region, one of the first centers of the early Christian era, which has a history of 5000 years, inhabited from the Phrygians to the present, has been an important settlement of Selcuklu since the Byzantine period.
